Switzerland Tour Package
Day 1 & 2: (Friday/Saturday) Reach Rhine Falls
In the late evening board the coach and depart towards Dover, upon arrival cross the channel via ferry or Eurotunnel. From Calais, embark on an overnight journey to Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfalls; (driving time from Calais to Rhine falls is approximately 11 hours). Later, check into the hotel and enjoy an Indian dinner at a restaurant.
Day 3: (Sunday) Interlaken (optional Mt. Jungfrau)
After breakfast drive to the oldest tourist resort in Switzerland, Interlaken. This picturesque town is an ideal town for shoppers especially for those looking to buy Swiss watches and chocolates. Alternatively, take an optional excursion to Mt. Jungfrau; begin by driving to the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the deepest U-shaped valley in the world with either of its sides rising a sheer 1000 meters. On arrival, board a cogwheel train to the top of Mt. Jungfrau at 3454 meters above sea level; ensuring visitor’s snow & ice all year round. At the top, have free time to explore the Ice Palace to view life-sized ice sculptures, visit the Sphinx observation tower for spectacular views of the Aletsch glacier and surrounding peaks.
Day 4: (Monday) Mt. Titlis - Luzern – Zurich City
Begin your morning by visiting the highest mountain in Central Switzerland, Mt. Titlis, which is 10.000ft above sea level. The ascent to Mt. Titlis starts by taking three cable cars; enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of surrounding snow capped mountains, lakes and picturesque meadows. At Mt. Titlis, have free time to play in the snow, visit the ice caves or take a unique professional photo in Swiss outfits. In the afternoon, depart for Luzern to view the Lion Monument, the most photographed monument in town, followed by a visit to the oldest wooden bridge in the world, Chapel Bridge. In the late afternoon proceed to the financial capital of Switzerland, Zurich; here enjoy a short period of free time to explore this amazing city and view the Grossmunster Church, Limmat River and Zurichsee.
Day 5: (Tuesday) Depart Zurich
This morning, settle into the comfortable seats and embark on a journey to Calais (driving time from hotel to Calais is approximately 10 hours); during this long drive be entertained by watching movies or listening to a variety of music. On arrival to Calais, cross the channel via ferry or Eurotunnel, then bid farewell to the group before arriving at the drop off point.
