Patnitop or Patni Top, is a hill top tourist location in Udhampur district, a mesmeric hill resort of the Kashmir valley, India, on the way from Udhampur to Srinagar, 112 km from Jammu. Situated on a plateau in the Shiwalik belt of the Himalayas. The river Chenab flows in close proximity to this location.

Patnitop counts amongst the best-developed tourist spot of Kashmir valley and is second to none in its natural charm, climate, pine forests and lush green cover. The occupancy of the huts and Dak Banglow is full in summer months. There is ambitious plan of Patnitop Development Authority to develop Patnitop, Kud, Sud-Mahadev, Mantalai circuit. The costruction work of Mall Road at Kud is also proposed to be taken up.

Paragliding at Patnitop

Now you can enjoy the thrill of flying, at Patnitop. The paragliding joyrides rides are conducted at Dawariyai, 2 km landmark, on the Patnitop-Sanasar road.You can ask for paragliding, at the Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) barrier.

The take off site is at Dawariyai, on the Patnitop-Sanasar road. The area often called as the Billoo Di Powri point. Approx 400 plus steps have been carved out along the rock face to make the steep slope negotiable.The stairs eventually leading to Dawariyai, the "gateway". The exact dating of the work is still debatable. Any tourist can experience Paragliding, because you will be flying with a pilot.The flight will take off from Patnitop and land at Kud.The flight will last for 7min to 15 mins, depending upon the wind conditions.One is retrieved by car to the take off area. The organizers also give a good quality video of your, memorable flight.

Duration: 04 Night and 05 Days

Day 01 : Jammu - Katra
Pick-up from Jammu airport / railway station upon arrival and transfer to Katra followed by check-in at the hotel. Proceed for Darshan to Mata Vaishnodevi Temple. Overnight at Katra.

Day 02 : Katra - Patnitop
After breakfast, transfer to Patnitop. Check-in the hotel & relax. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 03 : Patnitop
After break fast start drive to Patnitop and check in hotel. After refreshing leave for local sightseeing of Patnitop and enjoy the natural beauty of patnitop. Over night at Hotel.

Day 04 : Patnitop - Jammu
After break fast start drive to Jammu and check in hotel. After refreshing leave for local sightseeing of Jammu. Over night at Hotel.

Day 05 : Jammu Drop
After breakfast transfer to airport / Railway station to catch flight / train.
